It optimizes energy saving and supports the operating system Windows Vista. !! Attention !! Under Windows XP it is mandatory to install the updated VGA driver for Windows XP, which can be found in the download section, before the Installation of this BIOS version. Installing instructions for the BIOS Download the attached ZIP file and unpack it The ZIP archive contains a CD image. To update the BIOS, it has to be written to an empty media with help of Nero. Then reboot from this medium, and follow the instructions shown on the screen. Important information for restoring the system to delivery status (Windows XP) with the updated BIOS Version If you have installed this BIOS version and want to restore the system to delivery status (with Windows XP) with help of the included Easy Install DVD, please follow these instructions: - start the Recovery from the Easy Install DVD - if the system was installed and has to be restarted, please remove the power plug from the notebook - restart the notebook in battery mode - after the system is booted up, please install the updated VGA driver which is listed in the Download section - when the VGA driver has been installed correctly and the system has been restarted, the power plug can be put back into the notebook
